GP St-Raymond
Un podium dans une course pour hommes

C’est par une température avoisinant les 4 degrés Celsius et une forte pluie, qu’a eu lieu le GP de St-Raymond, dans la région de Québec, presque à domicile pour les membres de l’équipe Norco/Premier Tech propulsée par ChewPod.
Une course pour hommes, les vrais. Sur les 78 coureurs inscrits, seulement 21 ont terminé l’épreuve.
Du côté des Norco, l’homme de la situation a été Mathieu Roy, qui a obtenu la 3e position après un très fort travail de ses coéquipiers. Sans relâche, ils ont travaillé en tête de peloton afin de contrôler la dangereuse échappée.
Mathieu a pu ensuite se mêler à la bagarre finale lorsqu’un petit groupe s’est détaché pour aller rejoindre les fuyards et finir le tout lors d’un sprint difficile après une course éprouvante.
Samuel Blanchette a aussi offert une belle performance en allant chercher une belle 8e place. Notons aussi que Laurier Balthazard et Sébastien Rousseau auront su résister aux intempéries pour terminer la course, un exploit en soi.

A podium in a real men’s race
It is with a temperature of around 4 degrees Celsius and a heavy rain, that the GP St-Raymond took place in the region of Québec. It was almost home for the team members of Norco/Premier Tech p/b ChewPod.
A race for real men. Of the 78 riders entered, only 21 finished the race.
As for Norco, the man of the hour was Mathieu Roy, who got the third position after a hard work of teammates. Relentlessly, they worked ahead of the pack to control the dangerous breakaway.
Mathieu could then mingle with the final fight when a small group broke away to join the fugitives and finish it all in a difficult sprint after a tough race.
Samuel Blanchette also offered a great performance by getting a nice 8th place. Note also that Laurier Balthazard and Sebastien Rousseau have withstood the weather to finish the race, a victory in itself.
